Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation in an open, honest and friendly environment.
Each Alpha has three components and is perfect for anyone who has questions about life and would like to understand more about Christianity or for Christians wanting to revisit the foundations of faith.

Alpha at Bridgeman
Alpha runs each term at Bridgeman (and other locations) for around seven weeks. Try an Alpha session, and if you like it, why not join us again?
There is no cost, no pressure and no follow-up, if you decide it’s not for you.

Connecting with others is important; friends gathered around the kitchen table, meeting for coffee or catching up online. It’s no different at Alpha.
All sessions start with a time to connect, relax and build friendships (usually with food).
Watch
The 30ish-minute videos are designed to inspire conversation. They explore important issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions like: Who is Jesus? How can we have faith? Why do I pray? How does God guide us?
Discuss
At the heart of any Alpha is the chance to share thoughts and ideas in small groups. There’s no obligation to speak but there’s nothing you can’t share (seriously)!
It’s a chance to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest and friendly environment.
