Standing with You – Supporting Stanthorpe & Warwick Communities

Gal 6:2 – “Share each other’s burdens and in this way obey the law of Christ.”

The current drought affecting the Southern Down is the worst in over 100 years. As a church we want to stand with the Stanthorpe and Warwick Baptist churches and their communities. There area number of ways we can do that.

Letters of Support & Chaplaincy Frundraiser

Sunday the 22nd of September:
In all of our services on Sunday the 22nd of September their will be an opportunity to write a letter of support, a prayer or share scripture verses  that will be given to the Warwick & Stanthorpe Baptist Churches on Sunday the 29th of September.
Also, at all services cartons of fresh 100% apple juice will be on sale to support local chaplains in the region.


Standing with You Ministry Team

Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th of September:
Join the “Standing with You” Ministry Team – A team from Bridgeman will travel to Stanthorpe & Warwick to encourage, pray for and support the local churches and communities. People are invited to camp overnight, book a B&B or do a day trip and can join the team at any of the following events. If you’d like to be part of this team please register below so we can communicate further details and have an idea of the size of our team.

Saturday 28th September
11am – Leave Bridgeman Baptist for Stanthorpe
3pm – Afternoon Tea & Tour of Carnell Farm (113 Carnells Rd, Severnlea, Qld)
5:30pm Camp Set up – Stanthorpe Showgrounds (8 High St, Stanthorpe, Qld)
– Caravans & Camping $20 unpowered site $25 powered site paid in cash
– Other accommodation options below
6:30pm BBQ at Stanthorpe Showgrounds (locals may join us)


Sunday 29th September
Stanthorpe Option:

9am Church at Stanthorpe Baptist Church (9 Hillcrest St, Stanthorpe Qld)
10:15am-11am – Morning tea
11am – 1:30pm Lunch with locals from church
1:30pm – 3pm Visiting local farms and prayer  (3-5 options)

Warwick Option:
9:30am Warwick Baptist Church (Cnr Guy and Percy St Warwick, Qld)
12-1:30pm – Lunch in the park with local families
1:30-3pm – Visiting local farms/business owners and prayer (3-5 options)

Accommodation Options for Saturday 28th:
Individuals and families can arrange their own accommodation but we will generally base ourselves around the Stanthorpe Showgrounds.
– Stanthorpe Showgrounds – Caravan and camping options. (prices above).
– Book a hotel or B&B and support a local business
– A small number of local families have offered to host particularly those that may want to stay in Warwick.
