BridgeWorld Missions Conference 2021

“Declare his glory among the nations, his marvellous deeds among all peoples” (Psalm 96:3)

God is doing great things around the world right now reaching many who have never even heard of Him. This BridgeWorld Missions Conference we are looking to celebrate what He has done and explore what it means for the message to reach ‘the nations’ both locally and abroad.

We’ll be joined by Tim and Mel Downes who minster in Malawi as well as Paul and Alli Hodges who have spent much of the last five years in Cambodia. We will also hear from those within the Bridgeman community reaching ‘the nations’ as well as getting to share together over international foods provided for dinner.

KEY SPEAKERS

Headlining the ‘For All Nations’ in 2021 is the Downes and Hodges families who have served overseas in Africa and Asia.

Tim & Mel Downes have lived amongst and shared Jesus with the Yawo people of Malawi for almost ten years. In that time they have been through incredible challenges and also seen God work in amazing ways in planting and growing a local faith community amongst this Muslim community. Tim and Mel have a gift in translating faith principles and experiences between cultures and will inspire and challenge us to join God in what He is doing in our lives and community too. Mel will share at our Saturday night mission program and Tim will preach Sunday morning.

We are blessed to have Paul & Allison Hodges with us for our Bridgeworld Conference. While currently in Brisbane to rest and reconnect with family and friends,  they have been serving with Alongsiders in Cambodia for the past 5 years. Paul and Allison and their boys have planted themselves in a community in Phnom Penh to work alongside young people. They equip young Christians to reach out and walk alongside the most vulnerable and in turn look to catalyse discipleship in these communities. Paul and Allison have a deep commitment to love, to listen and to empower young people. Their obedience to this call and their love for people will be a challenge and inspiration for us all. Paul and Allison will be sharing at our Sunday PM services.
