MEGA MONSTER GARAGE SALE

Whether sitting around enjoying coffee, cake and a chat, buying from the huge quantity of stock spread over about 40 stalls, watching the entertainment, serving  customers, distributing information, helping pack-up or whatever it may be, we say a sincere "thank you" to you all for participating. What a tremendous group of helpers (about 350 in number) who worked so hard on the day of the sale and the preceding weeks.

The wet weather beforehand and the huge amount of stock (more than ever before) which had to be prepared in readiness for the sale, tested our resources to the limit, but the fellowship in service was great. Why do we do it? The apostle Peter's description can best give us the answer to this question when he said "that we may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light." Truly the working in oneness and unity as displayed brought blessing to all and is honouring to God. We believe "God works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform," and so with confidence we were able to leave everything in His hands, despite the weather forecast for Saturday.

We cannot mention everyone who helped by name but do acknowledge the tremendous contributions made by Angela, our Garage Sale coordinator, and Di and Allan, Murray, Lyn and Steve, who formed a core team supervising this event. Our sincerest thanks to all involved, and most especially to our great God for His wonderful enabling and provision.
