Extreme

Extreme

There can't be a better way to spend school holidays than with more than 200 kids as they learn about Jesus, His deep love for them and the hope and purpose that is found in Him alone! Truly, last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were action-packed days just full of God's presence and power. What a privilege it was to see a team of more than 60 leaders, the majority of which were high schoolers, serving God as they enthusiastically led the 200+ children that attended Buzz 2011. It was a year of extremes... extremely awesome food - we are so thankful to Lyn and her amazing team who once again achieved amazing culinary feats! We had extreme times of worship - there was nothing more exciting than hearing hundreds of kids singing O happy day, happy day, He washed my sins away, at the top of their voices. Hearing about the extreme life of Jesus each day through many creative avenues enabled the kids and leaders to have many awesome discussions. There were extreme team games and competitions, and it was all capped off with one extreme Family Fun Night on Friday. We were reminded again this week of how blessed we are here with the space and facilities-the new property got a very good work out! But even more, we're blessed to belong to a church that loves and cares for children. Heartfelt thanks to those who helped prepare the property for us in the working bees over the previous weeks and to those who have and continue to give financially; thanks too to Lyn and the whole kitchen team, those involved in registration, to the amazing team of leaders who did a phenomenal job working with our kids, to the kids who came along, and most especially to our wonderful God!
