How awesome is our God, how wonderful the things He does! Last
Saturday's Christmas in the Park was an incredible event and from
the start of the preparations to the very end of the pack-down and
clean-up, God's presence was felt and His provision so clear.
Though rain bucketed down in Bracken Ridge, the skies were clear
and we were blessed with a beautiful breeze. God's faithfulness and
provision extended far beyond the weather, as many God-meetings
took place, igniting conversations and opening doors to share hope
and life this Christmas. The crowd was filled with joy as the story
unfolded on stage with the talents of singers, dancers, actors,
musicians and technical crews meshing so wonderfully to present the
true meaning of Christmas. As Shane shared his story of salvation,
an amazing hush fell on the crowd, right to the very back row.
Already much blessing has flowed from the truth that was shared...
our Lord Jesus does indeed save.
The mini-fair in the afternoon provided even greater
opportunities to share and connect with those in our community and
it was clear to see from the smiles on children's faces how much
fun was being had. Thank you to all who provided a powerful witness
through acts of cheerful service. Many in the community could see
the love of Jesus through the way that so many were able to work
together joyfully and in harmony. Please continue to pray for those
who attended the carols and other Christmas events. Ask God to use
it as part of His drawing people closer to Himself.
