We just marvel at the way in which God works. The rain that fell
through the Friday night that preceded our Christmas in the Park
last weekend, didn't dampen the effectiveness of God's work. Indeed
the Saturday morning decision to change the venue of our Carols to
the church, led to some exciting stories of folk attending a
service in a church that otherwise would never have come! There
have been many stories that have flowed through this past week but
they are just a taste of all that unfolded as the light and life of
Christmas was shared at the 5.00pm and 7.30pm services last
Saturday week. More than the Carols performances themselves
however, spoke of God's love, provision and heart for the
community. His provision of our property, the additional land for
car parking and technology that enabled a live link into The
Chapel; the unity and joy of His body as many helped all through
Saturday to set up the church property in readiness for the crowds;
the invitations offered and accepted... our God is indeed good!
Heartfelt thanks to all who were involved... too many to mention by
name, but each one so important to the work that was undertaken:
those who set up and packed up, the tech. team, CATeam, other
performers, those who welcomed, sold glow products, craft and
food... and to the leadership team who powered on through a very
demanding weekend - thanks so much!!
